About Ellyn

Ellyn is a Licensed  Clinical Social Worker  who provides therapy to individuals. Ellyn currently is doing Telehealth on a virtual platform and is working at the present time with adults. Among the issues she has experience with are anxiety (especially since the pandemic and how that has changed and affected so many of us), loneliness, life changes as we get older, loss, grief, weight loss, infidelity, addiction.

 Ellyn has been in private practice for 35 years.

 With the philosophy that we are capable of changing, Ellyn works with her clients to reach their desired goals. She will help you utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)  to control the negative and non-productive thoughts which lead to negative and anxious or depressed feelings. And she recognizes how vital it can be to have a neutral, non-judgmental person for you to share issues with in a safe environment. Sometimes, it simply helps to be and feel heard.

Therapy is a collaborative effort – we will work together to achieve your goals. Simple problems have simple solutions, and Ellyn realizes most people don't come to therapy with something simple. So Ellyn helps you gain the tools to cope and change with complex and sometimes longstanding issues. She doesn't just listen; she offers concrete ideas and suggestions.

 Ellyn is on most major insurance panels.

 Ellyn is an Atlanta native and currently lives in the Smyrna area. She is married and loves spending time with her granddaughter and granddog.  When she is not working, she enjoys baking, plants, exercise, family, and visits to the ocean .
